3rd Grade Painted Elephants

The students created the painted elephant using a basic step by step drawing method.  Then using pictures of painted elephants they created their final masterpieces.
 

Kindergarten Fall Trees

The students studied the colors of fall and brought those observations to life in their fall trees.
 

4th Grade 3D Birds

Using clay and feathered adornments, the students created these whimsical birds.

 

 

 

2nd Grade Scarecrows

The 2nd graders studied form and practiced the technique of collage with these funloving scarecrows.

6th Grade Day of the Dead Chalk Drawings


The sixth grade used chalk and acrylic paint to make these Day of the Dead skeletons come to life. 

 

7th Grade Day of the Dead Masks

 
 The students used printmaking techniques and the study of positive and negative space to make these Day of the Dead masks come to life.

8th Grade Sugar Skulls

During their study of the "Day of the Dead" the 8th graders used sugar, a mold and meringue powder to create authentic sugar skulls.

5th Grade Shape Art and Henri Matisse

Henri Matisse (1869-1954) was a French artist, known for his use of color and shape.  He was mainly a painter but in his later years wanted to try a new style of art and began placing shapes in various colors on paper.  







The 5th graders studied Henri Matisse.  The students used construction paper to replicate Matisse's artistic style.
